The last major capital investment in Willow Park was in 2008 when the ball fields, drainage, earthwork, tennis courts, and trails were developed. Phase Two will focus on the north 40% of Willow Park. Planned improvements will be directed to natural areas and open space beautification such as trail extensions, bird habitats, a picnic shelter, pedestrian bridge, and river overlook. Disc golf and gaga pits will be installed and the batting cage and outdoor fitness station replaced.  
 

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025.
