SUPPORT& ACHIEVEMENTS
Northfield’s Park District has relied on community support to fund enhancements to park services, programs and facilities.
Did you know:
-
only 3% of Northfield real estate taxes are directed to fund park district operations, second lowest park tax rate of surrounding 47 park district.
-
through decades of sound management, the park district has sustained current inventory, serviced debt from prior improvements, and annually funded reserves to support future replacement costs.
-
external fundraising is required to support park improvements like the ones included in the new Northfield Park District’s 2023 Comprehensive Master Plan.
-
the Northfield Parks Foundation was created in 2001 to lead fundraising efforts and provide critical last dollar funding.
Northfield’s residents are engaged. They have a track record of raising funds, and making the parks we enjoy today possible.
